Socialist Front to meet today to discuss rising right-wing threats

Kathmandu, March 10 — The Socialist Front will hold a crucial meeting today at 4:00 PM to discuss the current political situation in the country.
According to Socialist Front Secretary Devendra Poudel, today's meeting will focus on how to address these growing political threats.
Earlier, a meeting of the office-bearers of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), chaired by Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' at his residence in Khumaltar, concluded that the rise of Hindu nationalist and monarchist movements is creating a serious political crisis in Nepal.
The meeting did not make any major decisions yet, but Poudel confirmed that a counter-procession will be organized to resist regressive forces.
The date for the protest march will be decided after further discussions within the front.
"The political situation in the country was thoroughly reviewed during the meeting. Chairman Prachanda highlighted that the growing activity of Hindu nationalists and monarchist forces is seriously affecting the political landscape. Given the adverse national and international circumstances, it is crucial for republicans and leftist forces to come together," said Poudel.
He also mentioned that the Maoist Center has decided to continue its awareness campaign along the East-West Postal Highway, particularly in the districts of Bara, Parsa, and Chitwan, but further decisions on other regions will be made in the next meeting.
