Roads Affected by Floods, Landslides, and Maintenance Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Various main highways across the country have been affected by floods, landslides, and road maintenance. According to the police's report as of 08:30 AM, traffic operations are obstructed in some sections of Kosi and Bagmati provinces.

Sections of the Mid-Hill Highway and Mechi Corridor under Kosi Province have been affected. Although the road in Bhojpur Municipality-5 Bokhim has been affected by floods, it is currently operating one-way. An alternative route is also available there.

The Mid-Hill Highway in Yangwarak Rural Municipality-2 Dobhan of Panchthar is only operating one-way due to floods.

The Mechi Corridor in Puwakhola of Ilam Municipality-9 is completely obstructed due to floods. It has been informed that the Mechi Highway can be used as an alternative route for now.

In Bagmati Province as well, traffic operations on main road sections have been affected. Traffic operations have been stopped on the BP Highway section Khurkot-Nepalethok-Katunjebesi due to potential flood risks.

The road section Hetauda-Phakel-Humane-Pharping-Kathmandu under Indrasarovar Rural Municipality-2 and 4 Mahalakshmi area is completely closed for 1 month due to road maintenance work.

The road in the area of Tuin Khola in Ichhakamana Rural Municipality-5 of the Muglin-Narayangadh road section is operating only one-way due to a landslide.
