Opposition to boycott PM Oli's address to Koshi Province Assembly

Biratnagar, March 10 — Opposition parties have decided to boycott Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's upcoming address to the Koshi Province Assembly tomorrow.

The Prime Minister will address the Province Assembly tomorrow at 2 PM.

However, opposition parties, including the CPN (Maoist Center), Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), and CPN (Unified Socialist), have begun discussions about their decision to stay absent from the session.

The opposition parties have expressed dissatisfaction, stating that the provincial government has not engaged in any discussions with them, and that the Chief Minister has failed to respond to the questions they raised.

They also criticized the government's indifference towards the opposition, which could lead them to boycott the Prime Minister's address.

Earlier, in the Provincial Assembly meeting held on Sunday, Indra Bahadur Angbo, the leader of the Maoist Parliamentary Party, had warned that under the current situation, the opposition would not be obliged to attend the Prime Minister's address.

He also expressed dissatisfaction, pointing out that the Chief Minister was absent in the Provincial Assembly when opposition leaders spoke.
