Student killed in Rupandehi road accident

Butwal, March 6 — A student has died in a road accident in Tilottama Municipality, Rupandehi.

The incident occurred when a car and a motorcycle collided at the Jansewa Chowk in Naya Mill.

The victim, 19-year-old Roshan Pariyar, originally from Ruru, Gulmi, and currently residing in Butwal-3, Traffic Chowk, passed away.  

Pariyar was studying in Grade 12 at Shanti Namuna Secondary School in Tilottama-5.

He sustained serious injuries in the accident and died during treatment, according to DSP Suraj Karki from the District Police Office.  

According to the police, the motorcycle (number LU 56 Pa 1961), traveling from Butwal, collided with a car (number BA 20 Cha 1754) that was crossing from the west lane of the main highway heading east, near Jansewa Club in Naya Mill.  

After the accident, the car and its driver were taken into custody, and an investigation is ongoing, the police stated.
