PM Oli accuses opposition of sabotaging government's efforts

Kathmandu, March 4 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that efforts to sabotage the government's good work through opposition and false accusations are ongoing.

While addressing an event in Kathmandu on Tuesday to mark the 78th anniversary of the trade union movement in Nepal, Prime Minister Oli remarked that there has been a growing wave of people who oppose any good work, leveling false charges to undermine it.

“In Nepal, there is a trend where whenever someone tries to do good work, they face opposition, false accusations, and attempts to prevent their progress,” said Oli. “Whenever the government tries to do something positive, efforts are made to stop it.”

Referring to the main opposition party, the Maoist Center, he mentioned that such forces are engaged in theatrics.

"When in power, they indulge in drama and waste time on it. When others try to take action, their focus shifts to opposing and ensuring failure," he added, emphasizing the self-proclaimed successful and historic achievements of his previous government.
