One killed, 14 injured in Gorkha microbus accident

Gorkha, March 3 — A microbus accident in Gorkha today resulted in one death and 14 injuries. 

The accident occurred at Kaantaar, located in Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-3, while the electric microbus, labeled "Untested," was returning from a visit to the Manakamana Temple.

The district police office in Gorkha informed that the accident took place early this morning.

The deceased has been identified as 37-year-old Padam Bahadur Darji from Tandi Parsa, Khairahani Municipality-2 in Chitwan.

He succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at Aanbukhaireni Hospital in Tanahun.

The microbus had fallen around 15 meters into a gorge from a dirt road around 11:25 a.m.

The cause of the accident has yet to be determined, and an investigation has begun.
