Pickup truck accident in Ilam leaves 15 injured

Ilam, February 27 — A pickup truck accident in Ilam's Mai Municipality-1 near the Maikhola bridge has left at least 15 people injured.

The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when a pickup truck (Province 1-02-002 Cha 4192) carrying participants from a Nepal Magar Association program in Mahamai to Danabari collided, causing the injuries. 

According to Hari Magar, the acting Chief District Officer of Ilam, the injured were initially treated at Mai Hospital, with eight of them being transferred to Birtamod for further medical care.

All of the injured are residents of Mai Municipality-7.

Details about the accident are still being gathered.
