Van accident in Syangja claims driver's life

Syanga, February 26 — A pickup van accident in Syangja has resulted in the death of the driver, while the helper has been injured. 

The incident occurred last night in Kharepani, Galyang Municipality-11, along the Siddhartha Highway.

According to Hari Prasad Paudel, the information officer at the Syangja District Police Office, the driver, 26-year-old Mitralal Aryal from Rambha Rural Municipality-3 in Palpa, died in the accident.

He passed away during treatment at Galyang Municipal Hospital shortly after the crash.

The pickup van, with registration number Lu 3 Cha, was traveling from Butwal towards Pokhara when it plunged nearly 100 meters off the road.

Four people were aboard the vehicle.

The helper, 23-year-old Radheshyam Basyal from Rambha Rural Municipality-3, Palpa, is currently receiving treatment at Lumbini Medical College in Tansen, Palpa.
