NEPSE index sees a slight increase

Kathmandu, February 24 — On the second trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index saw a slight increase.
This marks the sixth consecutive day of improvement in the NEPSE index, which has been rising steadily for the past five days.
On Sunday, the index rose by 11.66 points, and on Monday, it saw an additional increase of 3.35 points, reaching 2758.75 points.
The Sensitive Index also saw an increase of 0.60 points, while the Float Index rose by 0.08 points, and the Sensitive Float Index remained unchanged.
A total of 310 companies traded shares worth NPR 11.08 billion, with 2.11 million shares exchanged on Monday.
Compared to Sunday, the total trading volume saw a slight decrease, as shares worth NPR 11.54 billion were traded on Sunday.
Out of the 13 sub-indices of NEPSE, four showed an increase while nine experienced a decline.
The Banking, Investment, Processing, and Other sub-indices saw an upward trend, while the indices for Finance, Hotel and Tourism, Microfinance, Life Insurance, and Mutual Funds dropped.
In Monday's trading, shares of Guardian Micro Life Insurance saw a positive circuit level, and the share price of Rapti Hydro & General Construction increased by 9.5%.
Meanwhile, Bottlers Nepal's share price rose by 8%.
On the other hand, the share price of Wean Nepal Microfinance decreased by 10%.
Shares of Himalayan Life Insurance were traded for a total value of NPR 893.5 million, and Nepal Reinsurance Company's shares amounted to more than NPR 800 million in trading volume.
