NEPSE index up by 3.14 points on Thursday

Kathmandu, February 20 — On Thursday, the NEPSE index rose by 3.14 points, continuing its upward momentum from Tuesday's 11.91-point increase.
The market closed at 2,743.74 points.
While the Sensitive Index decreased by 1.90 points, the Float Index and Sensitive Float Index dropped by 0.14 points and 0.59 points, respectively.
The total value of shares traded amounted to NPR 8.62 billion, with 309 companies trading a total of 156,373,600 shares.
Among the 13 subgroups of the NEPSE, four saw their indices rise, including life insurance, non-life insurance, other, and trade subgroups.
However, nine subgroups, including finance, hotel and tourism, investment, microfinance, banks, development banks, hydro power, and mutual funds, recorded declines in their indices.
Positive movement was seen in shares of Guardian Micro Life Insurance, which reached a positive circuit.
Investors in Lakshmi Microfinance and Upakar Microfinance Financial Institution saw gains, while investors in Barahi Hydropower, Wean Nepal Microfinance, Upper Hewakhola Hydropower, Bhugol Energy, and Divyashwari Hydropower companies experienced losses.
