NEPSE sees growth on first trading day of the week

Kathmandu, February 16 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 19.56 points, reaching 2,698.03 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. 

The sensitive index also rose by 3.54 points, while the float index grew by 1.39 points.

A total of 309 companies traded shares worth NPR 9.47 billion, a noticeable increase from the previous day.

Out of 13 subgroups, 11 showed positive growth, with the finance subgroup rising by 4.94%.

Hotel, tourism, investment, and microfinance sectors also saw gains, while the life insurance and mutual fund sectors experienced declines.

In individual stocks, small finance companies saw positive circuit trading, while Nayadi Hydropower shares fell by 10%.
