8-year-old girl dies after stone rolls over in Gulmi

Butwal, February 16 — An 8-year-old girl has lost her life in Gulmi after a JCB bulldozer accidentally rolled a stone while digging a road.

According to the Gulmi District Police, the incident occurred while the JCB was digging a local road in Isma Rural Municipality-2, Chhaldi, when it dropped a stone from above.

The stone struck Bishnu Kumal, the daughter of Jnan Bahadur Kumal, who was walking to school.

The injured girl was taken to Gulmi Hospital, where she was declared dead by doctors.

The police have arrested the JCB driver, 36-year-old Rajesh Regmi from Sisneri, Indrachowk, Makwanpur, for the incident.

Locals have stated that the girl's death was due to the driver's negligence, and the police have started an investigation into the incident.
