Kamalpokhari gas explosion claims another life

Kathmandu, February 14 — A gas explosion that occurred on February 6 at Shandar Momo Restaurant in Kamalpokhari has resulted in another death.

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Pradeep Tamang.

Tamang, a resident of Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality-7, Udaypur, succumbed to his injuries at Kirtipur’s Burn Hospital, according to the Kathmandu District Police's SP Apilraj Bohora.

Earlier, two other victims — 18-year-old Rabin Rai from Hetauda and 20-year-old Bhim Bahadur Ghale from Udayapur — also died as a result of the blast.

A total of eight people were injured in the incident, and they are currently receiving treatment at Kirtipur Hospital.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion.
