Kathmandu, February 13 — On the last trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index saw a decline. After a slight increase on Wednesday, the index fell again on Thursday.
The NEPSE index dropped by 7.26 points, closing at 2,678.47. Similarly, the Sensitive Index fell by 0.52 points, while the Float Index dropped by 0.47 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.20 points.
A total of 302 companies traded 15.875 million shares worth NPR 7.92 billion, compared to NPR 8.71 billion worth of shares traded on Wednesday.
Among the 13 sub-indices of NEPSE, three sub-indices saw gains, while 10 experienced a decline. The Finance sub-index rose by 1.88%, while the Development Bank and Hydropower sub-indices fell by around 1%. Four stocks reached the positive circuit level during the day.
Stocks like Matribhoomi Microfinance, Pokhara Finance, and Guardian Micro Life Insurance saw trades at the positive circuit level, while the share price of Barahi Hydropower Public increased by more than 6%. In contrast, the share price of Nyadi Hydropower traded at a negative circuit level.
NRN Infrastructure and Development Company saw a share transaction worth NPR 341.4 million on Thursday.
