Kathmandu, February 10 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined on Monday, dropping by 10.98 points, bringing the market index to 26,677.32 points.
The total transaction in the market reached NPR 6.96 billion, down from NPR 8.33 billion on the previous day.
As the market fell, 161 companies saw a decrease in their stock prices, while 77 companies experienced an increase, and 6 companies had stable prices.
Among the 13 market groups, 11 saw a decline in their index, with the Finance sector suffering the most. On the other hand, some sectors like the Trade sector showed a slight improvement, according to NEPSE data.
Among the notable movements in the market, Nyadi Group Power and Guardian Micro Life Insurance saw a 10% increase in their stock prices, hitting the positive circuit.
Conversely, Bottlers Nepal and Upakar Microfinance saw a 10% drop in their stock prices, hitting the negative circuit.
Nepal Republic Media emerged as the company with the highest trading volume today, leading the market both in terms of value and number of transactions.
