PM Oli launches 'HPV Vaccination Campaign'
Kathmandu, February 4 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has officially launched a nationwide free HPV Vaccination Campaign to combat cervical cancer.
In an event organized by the Ministry of Health and Population in observance of World Cancer Day, PM Oli initiated the campaign by distributing health kits to healthcare workers from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3 at Shivapuri Secondary School in Maharajgunj.
The campaign, which starts today and runs until February 18, will simultaneously administer the vaccine across the country.
Approximately 1.7 million girls aged 10-14, including those in grades 6 to 10 in schools and out-of-school adolescents, will receive the vaccine.
