Dharan mayor Sampang visits Kathmandu with vessel to discuss water crisis (photos)

Kathmandu, January 20 — The Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, Harka Sampang, has arrived in Kathmandu carrying an empty water vessel.

He is in the capital to meet Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Minister for Drinking Water Pradeep Yadav.

Sampang’s visit comes in response to the government’s management of the drinking water issue in Dharan.

With the concern over the water crisis unresolved, he has traveled to Kathmandu to raise the matter with the Prime Minister and the Drinking Water Minister.

Sampang, who arrived in Kathmandu on Monday, is expected to visit Singha Durbar on Tuesday for his meetings.
