Maoist Centre criticizes government for delay in convening winter session
Kathmandu, January 3 — The main opposition party, CPN (Maoist Centre), has expressed dissatisfaction over the government's delay in convening the winter session of Parliament.
Speaking at a press briefing on the decisions made during the standing committee meeting held at the party's central office in Parisdanda on Friday, spokesperson Agniprasad Sapkota voiced his discontent with the government's intentions.
"The session of Parliament has been delayed far too much. When I was the Speaker, I used to call the sessions on time. It is already January 3rd, and things are going entirely wrong," he said.
"The government's intention does not seem right. It is moving forward by bypassing the Parliament and bringing ordinances. These ordinances are also aimed at splitting the parties. The government's actions are posing a serious threat to democracy," Sapkota added.
