Oli government does not have a long life ahead: Prachanda
Kathmandu, January 2 — Chairman of the main opposition party, CPN (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has briefed that the government formed by the alliance of the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) under the leadership of KP Oli does not have a long life ahead.
On Thursday, during the standing committee meeting held at the central office in Parisdanda, he briefed about the longevity of the Oli government.
While presenting the agenda for the central committee meeting that is set to start on Sunday, he said, "The life of KP Oli's government is not long. This government has also appeared intolerant internationally."
Prachanda further added, "The Oli government has been completely unsuccessful in solving national problems. Instead of being a government for the people, it has become a government for corrupt individuals, middlemen, and mafias, which is increasingly unpopular. Due to rising dissatisfaction within the UML and the Congress, the Oli government will not last much longer. In such a situation, we will not join the government. We will go to the people with a campaign."
After the meeting, party spokesperson Agniprasad Sapkota also stated that the Oli government would not last long. He accused the government of forming to suppress dissent within the party and to protect corrupt individuals, middlemen, and mafias.
Similarly, Sapkota informed the meeting about the political document titled "Party Transformation and Reconstruction Resolution: Today's Need," which will be presented to the central committee.
