SC suspends hearings for today following Justice Osti's funeral
Kathmandu, December 29 — All hearings at the Supreme Court were postponed on Sunday following the death of former Justice Prakash Osti.
The suspension of hearings was done as a mark of respect to the late justice.
After Osti's funeral, the Supreme Court held a full court session and expressed condolences, after which it was decided to halt the hearings for the day.
According to Supreme Court spokesperson Achyut Kuinkel, all cases scheduled for today were postponed after the publication of the cause list.
However, hearings at other high and district courts, as well as tribunals, continued as usual.
Osti's funeral was held in the electric crematorium at Pashupati Area on Sunday morning.
