NC-UML coalition formed for political stability: Shekhar Koirala
Janakpur, December 29 — Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has stated that the coalition government between Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) was formed for political stability in the country.
Speaking to journalists in Janakpur on Sunday morning, Koirala explained that frequent changes in government had hindered development, and the current government was formed to accelerate development.
He further mentioned that the government was also formed to establish good governance and control corruption.
Koirala added that the current government was working on some constitutional reforms and that there had been active collaboration between the Congress and UML over the past week.
He emphasized that constitutional amendments would be made in coordination with all political parties.
Koirala also stated that the current government has no room for failure, warning that if the government fails, the country would head toward chaos.
He called for everyone to be serious in order to prevent the nation from descending into anarchy.
