Constitution amendment possible on country's need: PM Oli

Birgunj – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said it was possible to amend constitution, other laws and acts if the country and politics felt it necessary. 

Laying a foundation stone to a garment processing center at Aurahi of Jeetpur Simara Sub Metropolis-4 in Simara Sunday, the Prime Minister said the government was committed to implementing a development model in the mountain, hills and Tarai as per the people's wishes. 

He took the time to share the central government's inability to manage even the facility of an auto-rickshaw for the local government when the nation just switched to a federal model (with seven provinces and 761 local governments) from the one government system. 

The Prime Minister who storms into power following the first historic elections of House of Representatives and State Assemblies admitted that works had not gone in line with his vision and dreams. He however said the central government was serious about the empowerment of the governments in provinces. 

At the programme presided over by Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Matrika Prasad Yadav, Province 2 Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut insisted on the development of industrial sector to lead the country towards economic progress. 

The centre to be established at the cost of around Rs 10 billion under the Nepal Government's special economic zone authority programme spreads to 843 bigas of land.( photo available)
