UML secretariat to set agenda for upcoming central committee meeting
Kathmandu, December 24 — The central secretariat meeting of the CPN (UML) is set to decide the agenda for the upcoming central committee meeting.
The central committee meeting, scheduled for January 4 and 5, will have its agenda determined by the secretariat meeting, according to Dr. Bhishma Adhikari, the secretary of the UML central office.
“The secretariat meeting will take place on Wednesday at 11 AM at the party’s central office in Chyasal. The meeting will announce the date of the central committee meeting and decide the agenda,” Adhikari said. “This is a regular meeting of the central committee.”
While UML is preparing to hold the central committee meeting on January 4 and 5, the official date has yet to be formally announced.
As per the UML's statute, the central committee meeting should be held every six months. The last central committee meeting was held in June.
The central committee meeting will likely discuss regular party activities, organizational development, and government operations, according to party leaders.
The party's organization department had decided to launch a three-month ward-centered campaign from January to March.
Leaders say that the central committee meeting will formulate a concrete action plan to implement this decision.
