Minister Baskota urges RSS to increase quality of its services

 

 

Kathmandu– Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Baskota, has urged the Rastriya Samachar Samiti to be self-dependent by increasing quality of its news products. 


At a discussion held at RSS central office here today, State Minister Baskota urged RSS journalists to produce investigative and different style of news as compared to other media as RSS is the source of news. He also pointed out the need of further coordination with foreign news agencies and other media houses in the country to increase its services on a commercial basis. 
Minister Baskota said, "News service is the main work of RSS. It should go for television service and collect advertisements by adopting modern technologies." 


He urged the management side to carry out activities with a team spirit and in a transparent manner to achieve the intended result. 
On the occasion, RSS Chairman Kul Chandra Wagle expressed commitment to take all on board while General Manager Opendra Sharma briefed Minister Baskota about RSS and its activities. 
Communications Secretary Kedar Bahadur Adhikari was also present on the occasion.
