PM Oli preparing for India visit
Kathmandu, December 13 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is preparing for his upcoming visit to India.
As part of the preparations, Foreign Minister Dr. Arju Rana (Deuba) will be traveling to Delhi on December 18.
Currently on a visit to Europe, Rana will proceed to Delhi, where she is scheduled to participate in the Indo-Nepal Economic Conference on December 20.
During her stay in Delhi, Rana will hold high-level meetings, including with Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, to discuss the details of Prime Minister Oli's India visit.
According to Foreign Ministry sources, Oli's visit to India is expected to take place in the first or second week of January 2025.
The ministry is coordinating with the Indian Embassy in Nepal to finalize the internal preparations.
Earlier, due to a lack of invitation from India, Prime Minister Oli visited China.
Had India extended an invitation, he would have visited India before China.
However, following the lack of invitation, he went to China first, promising to visit India shortly after his return.
