Durga Prasain denies fabricating evidences against PM Oli
Kathmandu, December 12 — Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasain has denied creating the documents, photos, and videos related to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, which have been part of an ongoing investigation under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2006.
Prasain stated, “These are not documents, videos, or photos that I created.”
Prasain had earlier claimed that he received documents and photos, alleging that PM Oli had invested in a Cambodian telecom company, Smart Axiata. He further explained that these materials were sent to him by a Nepali resident in Cambodia, and he only made them public through a press conference.
In his statement, Prasain clarified that he only shared the photos and videos he received from the Cambodian source to the media to inform the public. He stated, “I called the media to explain this matter and showed them the photos and videos I received.”
Prasain also spoke about his political activities, stating that he has been leading campaigns against the political instability, corruption, and economic crisis in Nepal.
He mentioned challenging the government and its leaders, including PM Oli, on various issues.
Regarding the allegations of PM Oli’s alleged investment in Cambodia, Prasain said he had received the related documents and videos from the Cambodian contact. He emphasized that his intention was to clarify the source of the investment and its connection to PM Oli.
He concluded by saying, “I have not created these documents or videos. If they try to harm me, I will stand firm because I know the truth.”
