Rabi Lamichhane presented at Kaski District Court for remand extension

Pokhara, December 12 — Rabi Lamichhane, the president of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, has been presented at the Kaski District Court today as his 4-day detention period, which was extended earlier, is about to expire.

Lamichhane, who was arrested on October 18 from Kathmandu in connection with a cooperative fraud case, has been under investigation by Kaski Police.

The police are preparing a report based on their investigation and are set to submit it in the next one or two days. Kaski's SP, Shyam Babu Oliya, confirmed that investigation officers are currently working on finalizing the report.

Lamichhane faces charges of money laundering, cooperative fraud, and organized crime, and the police are planning to submit the report, along with their legal recommendations, to the prosecutor for further action.
