NC names coordinators for 10 sister organizations' general conventions

Kathmandu, December 11 — Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has formed a "General Convention Directive Committee" to organize the general conventions of 10 affiliated sister organizations, as per the party's statute.

In accordance with the decision of the party's central working committee, President Deuba has constituted the committee for organizing the conventions of the Nepal Students Union, Nepal Youth Federation, Nepal Women's Association, Nepal Farmers' Federation, Nepal Dalit Association, Nepal Democratic Sports Federation, Nepal Democratic Warriors' Association, Nepal Ex-Servicemen's Association, National Democratic Disabled Federation, and Nepal Tharu Association.

The directive committee has been formed under Article 25 (9) of the Congress Party's Statute 2017 (with amendments) to ensure the completion of these conventions by the end of Chaitra 2081, coordinating with the existing ad hoc committees and providing necessary instructions, as informed by the party's General Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.

  • Nepal Dalit Association: Coordinator – Jeevan Pariyar
  • Nepal Women's Association: Coordinator – Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat
  • Nepal Farmers' Federation: Coordinator – Ramesh Rijal
  • Nepal Ex-Servicemen's Association: Coordinator – NP Saud
  • Nepal Democratic Sports Federation: Coordinator – Mohan Bahadur Basnet
  • National Democratic Disabled Federation: Coordinator – Madhu Acharya
  • Nepal Tharu Association: Coordinator – Uday Shamser Rana
  • Nepal Democratic Warriors' Association: Coordinator – Govindraj Pokharel

Each committee includes two members.
