Nepal Premier League: Kathmandu Gurkhas defeats Lumbini Lions by 18 runs
Kathmandu, December 11 — Kathmandu Gurkhas defeated Lumbini Lions by 18 runs in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament held today at Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
Kathmandu Gurkhas won the toss and chose to bat first, posting a total of 103 runs after losing all their wickets.
Lumbini Lions, chasing a target of 104 runs, were restricted to just 85 runs, suffering their fifth defeat of the tournament.
Having played six matches in the ongoing competition, Lumbini Lions have won only one.
To restrict Lumbini Lions from the target, Kathmandu Gurkhas' Karan KC took 4 wickets, Dipesh Kandel took 3, and Jehard Erasmus took 2 wickets.
For Kathmandu Gurkhas, Bhim Sharki scored 31, Dan Douthwaite contributed 21, Pratik Shrestha made 20, and Stephen Eskinazi added 13 runs.
For Lumbini Lions, Sandeep Jora was the top scorer with 26 runs.
