CPN (US) Standing Committee meeting commences

Kathmandu, December 11 — The Standing Committee meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist) has begun at the party's office in Aloknagar.

The meeting will discuss the party's organizational activities across the country, district and provincial conventions, review of local level by-elections, current political issues, leaders' work divisions, and structural changes.

According to party Deputy General Secretary Ram Kumar Bhattarai, decisions will be made regarding the designation of departmental heads, district in-charges, and organizational in-charges.

The list prepared by the task force, formed under the leadership of party chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal for restructuring of party, will be approved in the meeting.

The meeting is scheduled to run for two days.
