Passengers stranded as fog disrupts flights at eastern airports

Kathmandu, December 10 — Due to thick fog, most airports in the eastern region have been unable to operate flights, including takeoffs and landings, until around 12 PM today.

With flights delayed beyond the scheduled time, a crowd of passengers has gathered at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport.

According to the airport office, flights to and from airports in Janakpur, Simara, Bhadrapur, Biratnagar, and other locations have been unable to operate. Surkhet airport in the west has also been closed due to fog.

Currently, flights are operating from airports in Dhangadhi, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, Bharatpur, and Bhairahawa.
