Lamichhane supporters stage protest at Simara Airport

Birgunj, December 9 — Supporters of Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), staged a protest at Simara Airport.

On Monday, Lamichhane was transferred from Pokhara to Parsa via Kathmandu for investigation in a cooperative fraud case.

During the transfer, his supporters gathered at Simara Airport to demonstrate.

The Parsa District Court granted permission for his arrest and further investigation after it was revealed that Lamichhane was allegedly involved in the mismanagement of funds at the Sano Paila Cooperative in Birgunj.
