Rabi Lamichhane taken to Parsa for cooperative fraud investigation
Kathmandu, December 9 — Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), who has been in police custody for over 50 days in connection with a cooperative fraud investigation, was taken to Parsa today by the police.
After being held in Kaski police custody, Lamichhane was transferred via Kathmandu's airport on Monday, with the police using the airport as a transit point.
According to sources from the Police Headquarters, Lamichhane was flown from Kathmandu to Simara on a Buddha Air flight on Monday afternoon. From there, he will be taken to Parsa by car. Earlier in the morning, he was flown from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
A warrant for Lamichhane's arrest had already been issued after a complaint related to the cooperative fraud was filed in Parsa.
