Snowfall increases cold in Sudurpaschim, affects daily life

Baitadi, December 9 — With the rain, snowfall has occurred in the hilly districts of Sudurpashchim Province, including Baitadi.

Snowfall has been reported in high-altitude areas of the district such as Gwallek Khodpe, Anarkhaali, Dholyamod, Sigas, and Melouli.

The snowfall in the high-altitude regions along with the rain was confirmed by Inspector Janakaraj Dhungana.

Along with Baitadi, snowfall has also occurred in the high-altitude regions of other hilly districts like Dadeldhura and Doti.

The snowfall and rain have led to a drop in temperature, affecting daily life. Due to the cold, daily wage workers, children, and the elderly have been the most affected.

After the rain and snowfall, farmers are feeling joyous. Due to the drought, winter crops were beginning to dry up, but the rain and snowfall have provided hope for the crops to flourish.
