NC recommends Sunita Thapa for vacant Gandaki Provincial Assembly seat

Kathmandu, December 9 — The Nepali Congress has decided to recommend Sunita Thapa from Syangja for the vacant proportional representation seat in the Gandaki Provincial Assembly, Spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat informed.

The meeting of the Congress Central Working Committee held on Monday decided to recommend the name of Sunita Thapa to the Election Commission for the vacant seat, in accordance with the order of the closed list in the proportional representation election.

The seat became vacant following the death of Gandaki Provincial Assembly member Bimala Gauchan.
