Nepal Premier League: Janakpur Bolts post 136 against Lumbini Lions

Kirtipur, December 8 — Janakpur Bolts has set a target of 137 runs after posting a modest 136 at the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs against Lumbini Lions in the ongoing Nepal Premier League.

Janakpur, opting to bat first, saw their top-order falter under pressure.

The team’s captain, Anil Sah, was the highest scorer with 45 runs from 39 balls, including a boundary and four sixes.

Aasif Sheikh (16) and Lahiru Milantha (24) were the other notable contributors. However, a dramatic collapse saw the Bolts lose wickets quickly, finishing with just 136 runs on the board.

On the bowling front, Abhishesh Gautam was the star for the Lumbini Lions, taking 3 wickets for just 20 runs in his 4-over spell.

Saad Bin Zafar was also instrumental with figures of 2/11 in his 3 overs, while Rohit Paudel and Sundeep Jora chipped in with crucial wickets.

Despite the efforts of Shubh Kansakar (22*), who remained unbeaten at the end of the innings, Janakpur's total of 136/9 seems insufficient on what looks like a batting-friendly surface.
