Nepal Premier League: Sudur Paschim Royals secure 73-run victory over Kathmandu Gurkhas
Kirtipur, December 5 — A clinical all-round performance by Sudur Paschim Royals handed them a 73-run victory over Kathmandu Gurkhas in the 9th match of the Nepal Premier League.
Sudur Paschim Royals, after being put in to bat, posted a total of 167 at the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Brandon McMullen made 53 runs off 36 balls, Dipendra Singh Airee made 43 runs off 25 balls, and Binod Bhandari scored 35 runs from 28 balls.
Rashid Khan and Karan KC claimed two wickets each for Gurkhas.
In reply, Kathmandu Gurkhas’ chase faltered early. The team was bowled out for just 94 runs in 15.5 overs.
Stephen Eskinazi top-scored for the Gurkhas with 37 runs, while no other batsman managed to go past 14 runs.
Naren Saud took 5 wickets for just 19 runs, supported by Abinash Bohara, who picked up 2 wickets.
