PM Oli returns home after a four-day visit to China
Kathmandu, December 5 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has returned to Nepal after completing a four-day visit to China.
He was bid farewell at Beijing Capital International Airport on Thursday morning at 11 AM local time by Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Beidong.
Upon his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Prime Minister Oli was warmly welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister, ministers, and senior officials. He had left for China leading a Nepali delegation last Sunday.
During his visit, Prime Minister Oli met with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Keqiang, and the Chairman of the National People's Congress.
On the third day of his visit, both nations signed a framework agreement under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
During his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the President announced a grant aid of 500 million RMB (approximately NPR 9 billion) for Nepal.
