Two killed in Jajarkot jeep crash

Surkhet, December 5 — Two people have been killed in a jeep accident in Jajarkot.

The deceased have been identified as Manoj KC, around 24 years old, from Kailali, who was residing in Bheri Municipality-7 and working on the Mid-Hill Highway project, and Mithun Hamal, 22 years old, from Jumla, who was also working on the same project.

According to the Jajarkot District Police Chief, Purushottam Prasad Pandey, the jeep accident occurred last night near Nuwagaun, Bheri Municipality-10, along the Mid-Hill Highway.

The jeep, with registration number Province 3-01-023 Cha 4711, was heading towards Jatipur from Karkigaun when it fell 700 meters down the road.

In the accident, 22-year-old Kamal Chaudhary, a laborer from the same highway project, was injured and is currently receiving treatment at the District Hospital in Jajarkot.
