Durga Prasain to remain in custody for four more days

Kathmandu, December 3 — Durga Prasain, the coordinator of the Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizen Protection Campaign, will remain in custody for an additional four days.

The Kathmandu District Court has granted permission to the police to hold him in custody for further investigation.

Prasain's controversial statements regarding Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s investments in Cambodia led to his arrest by the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB).

He was arrested on November 19 under charges of cybercrime.

Although he had previously filed a writ petition for habeas corpus in the Supreme Court, claiming his arrest was illegal, the petition was dismissed.
