Nepal Premier League: Chitwan Rhinos set a target of 162 against Pokhara Avengers

Kirtipur, December 3 — Chitwan Rhinos posted a total of 161 at the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs against Pokhara Avengers in the 5th match of the Nepal Premier League. The Rhinos were put to bat first after Pokhara won the toss and chose to field.

Kushal Malla made 38 runs off 23 balls, including 1 four and 4 sixes. Ravi Bopara contributed a valuable 51 off 38 balls, hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes.

However, the Chitwan innings lost momentum after a solid start, with wickets falling at regular intervals. Hassan Eisakhil (14) and Deepak Bohara (2) were dismissed early, while Luc Benkenstein (16) and Santosh Karki (11) failed to accelerate the scoring.

Sohail Tanvir was dismissed for a duck, but Sharad Vesawkar (11*) and Amar Routela (13*) provided a late surge.

For Pokhara, Bipin Khatri was the standout bowler, picking up 2 wickets for 28 runs in 3 overs.

Bas de Leede also made a significant impact, taking 2 wickets for 20 runs from his 4 overs.

Raymon Reifer (2/38) and Sagar Dhakal (1/16) were also among the wickets.
