UML's Uma Sherpa Magar elected as Gaurishankar Vice-Chair

Kathmandu, December 2 — Uma Sherpa Magar from the CPN (UML) has been elected as vice-chairperson of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality in Dolakha.

Magar secured 2,805 votes to emerge victorious. Her closest rival, Nimleki Sherpa from the Maoist Center, received 2,600 votes.

Similarly, Pasdiki Tamang from the Nepali Congress secured 1,727 votes, while the Rastriya Prajatantra Party's candidate received 118 votes.

In Gaurishankar, the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) obtained 100 votes, and the CPN (Unified Socialist) got 90 votes.
