NPL: Janakpur Bolts clinch victory over Karnali Yaks
Kathmandu, December 2 — The Janakpur Bolts chased down a target of 142 set by Karnali Yaks with ease, securing a 8-wicket win in just 15.1 overs.
Karnali Yaks struggled to build partnerships and were restricted to 141/7 in their 20 overs. Gulsan Jha top-scored with 36 runs from 27 balls, while Sompal Kami scored 29 not out from just 13 balls provided some late resistance. Arjun Gharti contributed with a quickfire 33 runs.
The Bolts' bowlers kept the pressure on, with Mohammad Mohsin taking 2 wickets for 14 runs and James Neesham taking 1 wicket for 37 runs.
Chasing 142, Janakpur’s captain Anil Sah led from the front with an explosive 62 off 42 balls, including 6 fours and 3 sixes.
Aasif Sheikh supported well with a steady 36 runs from 29 balls. Lahiru Milantha’s 24 runs off 13 balls helped accelerate the chase further, while James Neesham added a quickfire 16 not out off 8 balls to seal the win with more than 4 overs to spare.
