CPN (Maoist Center) calls office-bearers' meeting
Kathmandu, November 27 — The CPN (Maoist Center) has called a meeting of its office-bearers' to discuss local level by-elections and the party statute. The meeting will be held at 2 pm at the central office, Parisdanda, according to Secretary Devendra Poudel.
"The meeting has been called to discuss the questions raised on the local level by-elections and the statute. The report prepared by the task force formed to resolve the questions raised earlier in the statute will also be submitted," he told Ratopati.
On Tuesday, November 19, the meeting of its office-bearers' held at Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda's' residence in Khumaltar had formed separate task force to document the statute and prepare the working procedures for the municipal conference.
The task force includes General Secretary Dev Gurung, Deputy General Secretaries Barshaman Pun and Janardan Sharma.
Meanwhile, another committee was formed to prepare working procedures on how the representatives for the municipal conference will be selected. The task force consisted of General Secretary Dev Gurung, Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun and Secretary Hitaraj Pandey.
Chairman Prachanda had committed to drafting a statute that would include the questions raised by the delegates at the statutory convention held in February last year. However, leaders claimed that the task force was formed because some of the suggestions from the hall were left out of the statute.
