Kathmandu, Novemnber 5 — While the investigation continues against Rabi Lamichhane, the leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), in the cooperative fraud case, his supporters have claimed that he is being targeted for revenge and staged a protest in Pokhara on Tuesday.
The supporters gathered at Zero Kilometer in Pokhara and demonstrated in favor of Lamichhane. The protesters demanded his release and called on the government to refrain from engaging in what they described as "revenge-driven politics."
Lamichhane was presented before Kaski District Court on Tuesday for further investigation in the cooperative fraud case. Meanwhile, his supporters have continued to gather on the streets, increasing pressure on the government.
Lamichhane was arrested on October 19 in Kathmandu, and since then, RSP leaders, activists, and his supporters have been protesting against the detention.
