485 thousand candidates appear in SEE

Bhaktapur,- The secondary education examination (SEE) has been held simultaneously at 1,956 exam centres across the country today without any hitches. 
Examinations controller Ambika Prasad Regmi said the exam was conducted from 8 am to 11 am throughout the country in a peaceful manner. Today is the first day of the examination, which spans for 13 days. The candidates wrote their English examination today. 
Arrangements have been made for giving practical examinations also in all the compulsory subjects except for maths this year. 
Four hundred eighty five thousand 586 candidates are taking the SEE this year. Some 64,762 human resources, including one superintendent at each exam centre, 2450 deputy superintendents, 20,340 invigilators, 10,676 support staff and 29,340 security personnel have been deployed to hold the SEE in a peaceful manner. Various monitoring teams have also been mobilised for overseeing the examination. 
The SEE under general stream would run till March 31 while the exam under technical stream will end on April 3. 
Examination Controller Regmi said that the Office of the Controller of Examinations has started preparations for administering SEE at the province level from the coming year.
