UML seeks clarification from leaders Rawal, Pandey, Timsina

Kathmandu, October 20 — The CPN (UML) has decided to seek clarification from three leaders, including Bhim Rawal.

During the secretariat meeting held on Sunday, General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel announced that the party would seek clarification from Rawal, standing committee member Binda Pandey, and central committee member Usha Kiran Timsina.

The decision to request clarification stems from their public statements regarding the construction of the party's central office, which were deemed contrary to party decisions.

Pandey, along with Rawal and Timsina, had criticized the party's acceptance of land donated for the office. Pandey stated that the party should return the land donated by businessman Min Bahadur Gurung. She also suggested that the party leadership reconsider this decision.

On October 10, UML had decided to construct its office on an 11-ropani plot of land in Kirtipur, and on October 11, Gurung, alongside UML Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, laid the foundation stone for the building.
