Pokhara on edge: RSP cadres and cooperative victims prepare for confrontation
Pokhara, October 19 — Following the arrest of Rabi Lamichhane, the president of the Rashtriya Swotantra Party (RSP), RSP cadres and cooperative victims are set to confront each other in Pokhara.
As RSP activists prepare to protest against Lamichhane's arrest, cooperative victims are also gearing up for a street struggle.
RSP is planning to hold a demonstration in support of Rabi at Maanab Adhikaar Chowk at 11 AM. Meanwhile, cooperative victims are preparing for a peaceful protest at Gairapatan.
Cooperative victims have been posting notifications on social media about their presence in Gairapatan, which is also where the district police office is located.
The District Administration Office has urged both parties not to protest. However, with both sides gearing up for demonstrations, security measures in Pokhara have been tightened to address potential risks.
