Government aiming to divide parties with ordinance, opposition parties say

Kathmandu, October 18 — The opposition parties have accused the government of attempting to split political parties by introducing an ordinance.

During a meeting of opposition parties in Baneshwor on Friday, it was concluded that the government is actively pursuing measures to fracture party unity, as stated by Aam Janata Party chairman, Prabhu Sah.

In the meeting, the chairman of the Maoist Centre, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', expressed the view that the attitude of the government led by K.P. Sharma Oli is inappropriate, and that the opposition should not remain silent.

Sah also mentioned that there is a consensus among the opposition to unite and take a stand against the government's tactics aimed at intimidation and division.
