Temporary housing funds to be disbursed within seven days for flood victims

Kathmandu, September 30 — The government has decided to provide immediate relief for constructing temporary shelters for those who have lost their homes due to continuous rain and flooding.

According to Rishiram Tiwari, the spokesperson (Joint Secretary) of the Home Ministry, the first tranche of funds will be disbursed within seven days for building temporary shelters.

He stated, “It has been decided that the first tranche will be released by the District Disaster Management Committee within seven days.”
